the automotive industry and Toyota Motor Company, Ltd. was founded. |
Following W.W.II Taichii Ohno developed the Toyota Production
System. This mass customization production system
successfully retained the key mass production benefits while
eliminating much of the associated wastes. This
system allowed Toyota to successfully serve the small and highly
diverse Japanese automobile market of the time. |
